Hola Willy!

Another visit to Cactus Country (Strathmerton, Vic) means MORE cactus inspo. I have HUNDREDS of cactus photos by now and if I’m lucky enough to catch them flowering, I won’t hold back! Every visit has me wondering how to incorporate more cactuses (or is it cacti?) into my paintings. This skull has been painted a few times now, including a funky mural in Brisbane. 

Oh and the willy wagtail? Because they’re gorgeous things. Simple.

Fun fact: Every time we turn into the driveway to Cactus Country, it’s become tradition to roll our windows down and yell “HOLA AMIGOESSSS!” as obnoxiously loud as possible in a Spanish accent. The kids bloody love it.
