Golden Boy | Original Artwork

When I'm at the beach, I'll obsess over the sparkling water. I'll be distracted for ages trying to capture the glittering reflections on my phone, mentally noting how it looks and feels so I can attempt to paint it... somehow.

This painting was from references taken thigh-deep in the Murray River. I've tried to capture the warmth of the day, the golden tones and the interesting colours within the shadows and reflections.
